OnePlus Ace 3V debuts with Snapdragon 7+ Gen3

OnePlus claimed earlier this month that it was preparing a new phone that would be the first to get the then-unannounced Snapdragon 7+ Gen3 processor. The chipset debuted yesterday, and shortly after its launch, the OnePlus Ace 3V phone was also unveiled . It is a kind of lightweight version of the Ace 3 model, and it also got a new quite interesting design.

ONEPLUS ACE 3V PHONE DESIGN AND DISPLAY

The new OnePlus Ace 3V has a redesigned design compared to its predecessor. It has a flat front and back panel and the frames are also flat. The bezels around the display are narrow and symmetrical, and in the center of the top of the screen is a “hole” for the front camera. The simplicity of the rear panel was broken only by the oval module of the main camera with two rings for the sensors and one ring for the LED flash.

The display is of the AMOLED type. It has a diagonal of 6.74 inches, a resolution of 2772 × 1240 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The maximum brightness reached up to 2150 nits. The screen supports 100% DCI-P3 color gamut and 2160 PWM dimming. Thanks to Rain Touch technology, the screen can be operated even with wet hands.

OTHER SPECIFICATIONS

That being said, the OnePlus Ace 3V debuted shortly after the launch of the Snapdragon 7+ Gen3 processor, making it the world's first phone with this chipset. It is paired with 12 GB/16 GB of LPDDR5X operating memory and 256 GB/512 GB of UFS 4.0 internal storage. Connectivity is represented by 5G SA/NSA, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 7 802.11 be (2.4 GHz/5 GHz), Bluetooth 5.4, Beidou, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, NFC and USB-C. The fingerprint sensor is integrated into the display. The equipment includes an IR blaster, an Alert Slider and stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos. The phone is also IP65 certified. The battery has a capacity of 5500 mAh and supports fast charging with a power of 100 W. The operating system is Android 14 with the Color OS 14 superstructure.

PHOTO EQUIPMENT, PRICES AND AVAILABILITY

The main camera of the OnePlus Ace 3V has two sensors. The first of them is a 50 MPix Sony IMX882 sensor with a size of 1/1.95 inches, f/1.8 aperture and OIS support. The second, 8 MPix Sony IMX355 sensor functions as a wide-angle lens with an aperture of f/2.2. The front camera received a 16 MPix Samsung S5K3P9 sensor.

The OnePlus Ace 3V phone is coming to the Chinese market in Titanium Gray and Magic Purple Silver colors. Pre-orders are already running, sales will start on March 25. Called the OnePlus Nord 4, the phone will go to global markets. The 12GB/256GB version will cost 1,999 yuan, which is roughly $278. The 12GB/512GB version is priced at 2,299 yuan ($319), and the top-of-the-line 16GB/512GB version costs 2,599 yuan, roughly $361.
