There is probably no need to describe Asus ROG Phones at length. They are known primarily to fans of mobile games, and certainly even those who are not into gaming have heard of them. The Asus ROG Phone series has long been among the popular gaming machines, and every year we find a new generation of them on the market. It will not be any different this year either, as Asus has already confirmed that it will introduce the ROG Phone 8 series models in China on January 16. In addition to the standard ROG Phone 8 model and the Ultimate model, the new line will also include the Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro model, which we will take a closer look at today.

ASUS ROG PHONE 8 PRO DESIGN

For now, it's a bit of a mystery what the upcoming ROG Phone 8 gaming phones look like. Rendered images of the Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro model, published by MySmartPrice , will give us a little help . The design of the phone is slightly changed compared to the ROG Phone 7 models. Overall, the appearance is more "angular". Both the front and back panels are flat. The bezels around the display are very narrow, including the chin. In the center of the top of the screen is a “hole” for the front camera.

In the upper left corner of the back panel of the Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro, we see the main camera module. The latter is almost square with a beveled lower right corner. The other corners are rounded. So here is another design change compared to the predecessors. There are three sensor surrounds in the module and one of them is larger than the other two. There is also an LED flash. The only design element on the rear panel is a slanted glossy stripe and the ROG Phone logo. On the right edge we find the volume rocker and the power button. The left and bottom edges are home to the USB-C ports. On the bottom edge we also see a 3.5 mm audio jack, a speaker grill and a SIM card slot.

So much for the look of the ROG Phone 8 Pro. And what about the parameters? The Snapdragon 8 Gen3 processor is confirmed, which is paired with up to 24GB of RAM. The AMOLED display is said to have a diagonal of 6.78 inches, a FullHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 165 Hz. The screen supports LTPO and HDR10+ technology. The battery has a capacity of 5500 mAh and support for fast charging with a power of 65 W. It is also said to be resistant according to IP68 certification.
