POCO , a disruptive force in the smartphone market, has once again stirred up the stagnant waters with the introduction of the affordable POCO M6 5G smartphone. After the good reception of its predecessor, the POCO M6 Pro 5G, this latest model aims to redefine affordability without compromising on features.

POCO M6 5G PRESENTS AN ATTEMPT TO REVOLUTIONIZE CHEAP SMARTPHONES

Under the hood of the POCO M6 5G smartphone beats the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ processor, which ensures smooth performance. The device got a decent 6.74-inch HD+ display with a refresh rate of 90 Hz for smooth images. The display has protection in the form of Corning Gorilla Glass 3, which protects it from damage and ensures durability. With a sampling rate of 180 Hz and a good brightness of 600 nits, users can expect a vivid and responsive touchscreen display.

Also in terms of memory and storage options, users can choose from 4GB, 6GB or 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM. This is combined with 128 GB or 256 GB of internal UFS 2.2 storage. In addition, the storage capacity can be expanded up to a respectable 1 TB via a dedicated micro-SD card slot. The device is powered by a robust battery with a capacity of 5,000 mAh. And it supports 18W fast charging. Thanks to this, there is long-term use without long downtimes. The software side of things runs MIUI 14 based on Android 13 and promises a user-friendly experience with the latest features.

Photography lovers will also appreciate the 50 Mpx dual camera with artificial intelligence. It has a wide f/1.8 aperture, PDAF and LED flash to capture vivid and detailed images. A 5MP selfie camera is located in the water drop-shaped cutout, which caters to users who like to take selfies.

Moreover, for those who can't wait to get their hands on the POCO M6 5G, the smartphone is all set to launch from 12 noon on December 26, 2023. With Orion Blue and Galactic Black color variants. It should be mentioned that the launch only applies to the Indian market. The price of the base model shows an attractive INR 9,499, which is about USD 114.
