vivo introduces Funtouch OS 14: Smoother than ever

vivo has announced the launch of Funtouch OS 14. The Android-based system comes with all the benefits of the latest Android 14. But it is enriched with vivo features that provide a better and smoother user experience. The new upgraded operating system focuses on simplifying memory management, multitasking, personalization, privacy and security. It also offers new video editing tools. And thus provides more room for creativity and flexibility. Funtouch OS 14 makes every user interaction a pleasant experience.

SMOOTH ENVISION: FLUENCY GUARANTEED

Funtouch OS 14 introduces Smooth Envision, an innovative feature that makes operating the operating system smoother inside and out. By reducing the number of background processes and optimizing RAM usage, Funtouch OS 14 increases system performance. It also speeds up responsiveness and boosts the ability to keep multiple applications active at the same time. The improved RAM Saver feature adds up to 600MB of available RAM space to devices with 8GB RAM configurations and above, making multitasking a breeze. Additional convenience is provided by the new App Retainer function. Applications that were not manually closed are always restored to their last state, so users can easily pick up where they left off.

On selected smartphone models, fluidity is also achieved visually with the help of another improvement called Motion Blur, which uses advanced algorithms to simulate motion blur when opening and closing applications on the home screen. This feature increases the fluidity of 60Hz displays by 18.7% and ensures smooth visual transitions.

FUNTOUCH OS 14: IMPROVED MULTITASKING TOOLS

Funtouch OS 14 takes multitasking to a higher level and brings improved small window functionality. Thanks to better readability of the settings lines, users can now find their way around and understand their scope more easily. Users can have up to 12 small windows active in the background, and the operating system offers side scrolling pause support, giving consumers more control. For situations like driving a car or watching a video and chatting at the same time, where users want to focus on one app but still watch another, a new non-interactive small window mode is introduced. Users can easily switch between small window modes with a single tap.

MORE COLORS, MORE YOU: PERSONALIZE YOUR EXPERIENCE 

With a range of new personalization options, Funtouch OS 14 allows consumers to find their unique style. Users can now customize their lock screen clock with three layout styles and eight font styles. New styles for always-on display1 and a new minimalist screen design also offer even more personalization options. Based on Android's Material You design, the new monochrome MY Color Palette theme offers a simple and elegant color selection. In addition, this feature helps to save energy by optimizing the display for grayscale display.

GET CREATIVE WITH NEW ADVANCED VIDEO EDITING TOOLS 

To make it easier for you to create unique and engaging content without relying on third-party apps, Funtouch OS 14 comes with enhanced video editing capabilities. Users can now export videos in original quality. The operating system comes with the ability to set the video quality, including a possible resolution of up to 4K at 60 FPS2, thus giving users more control over the content created. In addition, 25 filters have been added for easy video editing, which the user selects from previews that outline the possibilities of their use.

In addition, Funtouch OS 14 brings optimized browsing and album viewing, so users can adjust video playback speed, loop playback, enjoy full-screen playback, or take screenshots. 

FUNTOUCH OS 14: PROTECTING USER PRIVACY AND SECURITY

The new system, serial number 14, allows consumers to share their devices while maintaining control over their personal data. The new Smart Mirroring feature allows users to seamlessly share their screen without worrying about the notification bar popping up and accidentally revealing any personal information. In addition, users' hidden photos are now protected by an additional step of password verification.
