Vivo introduces the latest addition to the V29 family – the vivo V29 Pro. This powerful smartphone stands out over its base model vivo V29 with an extra camera lens and lightning-fast chipset. And not only that, it leaves its predecessor, the V27 Pro model, from earlier this year, in oblivion. 

CAPTURE PORTRAITS WITH DUAL ZOOM LENS

What sets the V29 Pro apart not only from its siblings , but from all other clamshell phones out there, is its exceptional 12MP portrait camera. It has a 2x zoom lens and can deftly focus on objects from 0.5 m to 2 m away. This ensures perfect close-up shots in the range of 1.6 to 6.5 meters. The camera boasts an impressive Sony IMX663 sensor with “full-pixel dual-core” autofocus that really shines in low-light conditions.

While the V29 Pro's main camera is a mirror image of the V29 and V27 Pro, it features a 50MP IMX766 sensor with an f/1.9 lens and optical image stabilization (OIS), but there's no room for a 2MP depth sensor. Instead, the Pro model opts for a remarkable portrait camera.

The highlight remains the Smart Aura Light, a signature feature of the V series. With its ring-shaped LED flash that is 36% brighter than its predecessor. This sophisticated flash adjusts the color temperature according to the ambient light, ensuring that your photos always look their best.

Speaking of photography, the V29 Pro boasts an excellent 50MP selfie camera that features a generous 92° autofocus lens and Eye AF to ensure your face stays sharp at all times.

Now let's dive into another interesting upgrade - the chipset. Compared to the standard V29, the V29 Pro boasts a powerful Dimensity 8200 chipset that delivers superior performance. Especially in the GPU department compared to the Snapdragon 778G. For those who remember the V27 Pro, which also uses the D8200 chip, the upgrade is in the charging department. The Pro version now supports an impressive 80W charging speed, a significant improvement over the V27 Pro's 66W (the V29 also boasts 80W charging).

EXPERIENCE A NEW LEVEL WITH VIVO V29 PRO CURVED AMOLED DISPLAY

Turning our attention to the front, the V29 Pro has a curved 6.78″ AMOLED display in line with the other models in the V29 series. With a resolution of 1260 x 2800 pixels and a fast 120Hz refresh rate, this screen offers an instantaneous touch sample rate of 1000Hz. With a peak brightness of 1,300 nits and high-frequency PWM dimming with a frequency of 2,160 Hz and 16,000 brightness levels, these are visual feasts. It is a 10-bit display with full DCI-P3 coverage and HDR10+ certification, which guarantees vivid and faithful colors.

Despite its impressive features, the V29 Pro maintains a slim profile with a thickness of just 7.46 mm. The front glass gracefully curves at an angle of 55°, leaving only 2.4 mm of frame on the sides. The V29 Pro model received a glass rear panel from the factory and bears the "Made in India" label.

Vivo has given the V29 Pro two interesting colors. The first of these, Himalayan Blue, contains nano-scale magnetic particles that give the light blue design a sparkling touch reminiscent of the majestic Himalayan mountains. The second option is the classic Space Black, which offers an elegant and timeless look.

The V29 Pro will soon be available in two configurations: one with 8GB of RAM priced at $480. And the other with 12GB of RAM for $515, both offering a generous 256GB of storage. Although it offers a slot for two SIM cards, unfortunately it lacks a microSD slot for storage expansion.

The package includes the essentials such as a USB-C cable, 80W FlashCharge adapter, SIM eject tool, quick user guide, protective case and a pre-set screen protector. With the V29 Pro, vivo continues to push the boundaries of smartphone technology. It offers an impressive combination of top functions and amazing design.
