The iQOO 12 Pro is said to get a periscopic sensor

The trend of recent times is to add a telephoto lens to flagship cameras, and a periscopic one at that. A sensor of this type provides a larger and better zoom, which subsequently also affects the quality of photo outputs. According to the tipster, exactly such a sensor is also ready for the iQOO 12 Pro phone. The periscopic sensor is said to have a resolution of 64 MPix and is an OmniVision OV64B sensor. The manufacturer is now reportedly solving how to place this sensor in the module so that the resulting zoom is five times.

In addition to the 64MP periscope telephoto lens, the main camera setup of the iQOO 12 Pro is said to feature a primary 50MP OmniVision OV50H sensor. This sensor is 1/1.28 inch in size with 1.2 µm pixels. Although the tipster does not mention the wide-angle lens, it could also have a resolution of 50 MPix, a field of view of up to 150°, an aperture of f/2.3 and support for automatic focus. In addition, the manufacturer is said to add the Vivo V3 ISP chip. The iQOO 12 Pro phone may debut before the end of this year.
