The iQOO Z8 has a confirmed launch date

Before the end of the holidays, we have a few more presentations waiting for us. In addition to the Realme brand, which will launch the Realme GT 5 phone , the iQOO brand is also preparing a presentation event. On it, we should expect the iQOO Z8 model and probably also the Z8x. Both phones have already passed Geekbench and Antutu benchmark tests, and tipsters have speculated that their launch is imminent. And according to the trailers on China's Weibo and Vivo's website, they're right. The manufacturer confirmed that at least the Z8 model will be officially presented in China on August 31 at 7 p.m. local time.

DESIGN AND SOME SPECIFICATIONS OF THE IQOO Z8 PHONE

The first teasers confirmed the design of the iQOO Z8 phone, which is quite simple. The rear panel is dominated by a large rectangular module of the main camera, which is located in the upper left corner. There are two surrounds for two sensors in the module. To the right of them we see the LED flash and the inscription OIS. What this means is probably clear. In the picture, the phone is white and light blue, the camera module is black. Tipsters estimate that the resolution of the sensors is 64 MPix and 2 MPix.

Another teaser looks at the processor that powers the iQOO Z8 phone. It is a chipset from MediaTek's workshops, Dimensity 8200. With it, the phone also passed the Geekbench tests. The processor is built on 5nm production technology and its maximum clock speed on the primary core is 3.1 GHz. The chipset is paired with up to 12 GB of operating memory and up to 512 GB of internal storage. We therefore expect several memory versions.

Another interesting specification confirmed by the teasers is 120W fast charging. We know that the iQOO Z8 also has a 3.5mm audio jack and an IR blaster. The fingerprint sensor is located on the edge of the device. We assume that the manufacturer will publish other parameters soon. Regarding the Z8x model, we only know that it is apparently powered by a Snapdragon 6 Gen1 processor with 8 GB of RAM and its fast charging has a power of 80 W. Other specifications are still under wraps.
