These Samsung Galaxy devices will stop receiving updates

All good things come to an end and this saying applies to Samsung Galaxy devices as well. These devices will no longer receive any new software updates from the company. Samsung follows certain policies when providing software updates, and these policies determine the timing of updates. In the previous policy, the company offered software updates for up to five years, with flagship devices receiving a maximum of three updates. However, in 2022, Samsung changed this policy and extended the eligibility for software updates for some devices. Let's take a closer look at these changes.

THE FOLLOWING SAMSUNG GALAXY DEVICES WILL NO LONGER RECEIVE SOFTWARE UPDATES

The Galaxy range of devices that were introduced in 2019 have been discontinued by Samsung from receiving further software updates. This means that these devices are not in the plans for any major or minor updates. Let's take a look at the devices that are no longer eligible for new updates.

• Galaxy S Series: Galaxy S22, S22+ and S22 Ultra, as well as Galaxy S21, S21+, S21 Ultra, S21 FE, and upcoming S series 
• Galaxy Z Series: Galaxy Z Fold3, Galaxy Z Flip3, and the upcoming Z series 
• Galaxy A Series: Expected and selected A series devices Galaxy Tablets: 
• Galaxy Tab S8, S8+, S8 Ultra and upcoming Tab S series devices.
