Vivo V3 will be a display chip for flagship phones

Among other things, Vivo is involved in the production of its own display chips and already has several of them on its account. The first of them, labeled V1, debuted already in 2021 in the Vivo X70 series phones. It was followed last year by an improved version in the form of the V1 Plus ISP chip, on which Vivo collaborated with MediaTek. Well, before the end of last year, the V2 chip with expanded memory, more functions and support for AI computing saw the light of day . And now another IPS chip with the simple name Vivo V3 is in the pipeline.

THE VIVO V3 IS APPARENTLY READY FOR THE VIVO X100 SERIES

Vivo's Vice President and General Manager of Brand & Product Strategy, Mr. Jia Jingdong, reports on the upcoming Vivo V3 ISP chip on his Weibo account . So, for now, it's more like a kind of trailer and an invitation to the Vivo festival, which takes place from July 23rd until the end of this month. At the festival, among other things, the company will present a number of new imaging technologies, there will also be a large photography competition, and overall, the ongoing festival is focused on mobile photography, filming and everything related to it.

Although Jingdong does not directly say that it will rebuild the Vivo V3's ISP chip at this festival, it does speak highly of it. The chip is built on the 6nm manufacturing process and will offer many improvements as well as open up new possibilities for smartphone cameras. For example, it will allow shooting videos in portrait mode up to 4K resolution. It will also offer advanced features and post-processing options.

If we go by the fact that all the previous display chips debuted in the X series flagship phones, it is likely that the upcoming Vivo V3 chip will make its debut in the Vivo X100 series phones. Tipsters estimate that the manufacturer will introduce these new machines sometime during the fourth quarter of this year. And according to the first estimates of the tipsters, the highest model of the entire series, the X100 Pro Plus , will be truly exceptional with its photo equipment.
