Developers and ColorOS custom build enthusiasts can try out the development version of ColorOS on their OPPO flip phone. It is built on the first beta version of Android 14.
Another year and another version of Android, this time with the number 14. The new Android will be available to try in the Beta 1 version also on the OPPO Find N2 Flip. Its owners will thus be among the first in the world who will have the opportunity to walk through and test the new system. The next update of the ColorOS user system superstructure will be based on the first beta version of Android 14. And there will be new functions and APIs to try.
“With the new OPPO Find N2 Flip, we've set the bar high for flip phones. During its development, we relied on top technological solutions, innovations and intuitive design. In cooperation with Google, we also achieved speech-to-text functionality on an external screen. With Android 14, we will continue to push foldable phones to a new level by combining cutting-edge hardware with unrivaled software, " said Peter Dohyung Lee, OPPO's flagship product line director.
Android 14 brings a number of updates to improve productivity, performance, privacy and security, as well as new customization options for users. It offers a more intuitive system user interface, such as a new "back" arrow in the middle of the display and an improved list of sharing options. Foldable devices provide an opportunity to develop innovative applications. At the same time, OPPO supports its developers to use Android APIs as well as tools and resources provided by Google to create applications for both external and internal screens.
The Android 14 Beta 1 update will be available for the Find N2 Flip model, launched in February 2023. The OPPO Find N2 Flip introduced one of the largest external displays of its kind on the market with the least visible screen crease thanks to the new generation Flexion Hinge and all-day endurance battery with SUPERVOOC flash charging. In addition, it promises four major ColorOS updates and five years of security updates to its users worldwide.
Developers can already download and try the developer version of ColorOS, which runs on Android 14 Beta 1. And later this year, other Find N2 Flip users can also look forward to the public version of ColorOS, also based on Android 14.
