Asus ROG Phone 7 passed Geekbench in two versions

Asus and its ROG Phone series are undoubtedly pioneers in the gaming phone segment. Over time, other manufacturers have followed the same path, but ROG gaming phones are still at the forefront. Last year we saw several models from the ROG Phone 6 series , and this year we will not be deprived of the next generation of these gaming machines. We don't know when exactly they will be released yet, but it shouldn't take too long, because tipsters are slowly starting to take an interest in them, and the Asus ROG Phone 7 also passed the Geekbench tests, in two versions.

As we mentioned earlier, two versions of the Asus ROG Phone 7 have passed the Geekbench tests. They are codenamed AI2205_B and AI2205_C and are apparently the standard model and the ROG Phone 7 Pro model. However, some tipsters believe that the C variant is intended for the Indian market. But it's just speculation for now.

Both variants of the Asus ROG Phone 7 are powered by Qualcomm's octa-core processor, labeled "kalama", with a Cortex-X3 primary core running at a clock frequency of 3.16GHz, according to the test listing. On the GPU post we then find the Adreno 740. So it is clear that this is the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 flagship processor. In both cases, the chipset added 16 GB of operating memory during the benchmark tests. However, it is not excluded that a version with 18 GB of RAM will also go on the market. Both variants run on the Android 13 operating system, but here we didn't expect anything else.

And what other specifications could the Asus ROG Phone 7 offer, according to tipsters?

It is a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with FullHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 165 GHz. A fingerprint sensor will certainly be integrated into the screen. We also expect a battery with a higher capacity, around 6000 mAh. There should also be support for fast charging with a power of at least 65 W. And that's all the tipsters estimate at the moment. But if the ROG Phone 7 phones are released on the same date as last year's ROG Phone 6 models, we still have enough time to add more pieces to the mosaic of specifications.
