Realme GT Neo 5 has passed Geekbench tests
The Realme brand has been announcing since the end of last year that it is preparing an interesting Realme GT Neo 5 phone. Why interesting? Simply because, in addition to premium parameters, it will also receive support for fast charging with a power of 240 W. This extremely fast charging was confirmed by the manufacturer at the beginning of this year, and the first rendered images that show what the phone looks like have also appeared on the network. The Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 processor and IMX890 primary photo sensor with OIS are also confirmed. These specifications really place the GT Neo 5 among premium machines, even if it will probably not reach the flagship. But it can be a very strong competitor to the Redmi K60 model, which has similar specifications. According to tipsters' estimates, the Realme brand will present the new phone at the MWC 2023 fair in Barcelona, so let's see how it fared in the Geekbench benchmark tests it just passed .
WHAT THE GEEKBENCH TESTS CONFIRMED FOR THE REALME GT NEO 5 MODEL
As we well know, the test dump will not confirm many parameters, but at least we will learn a little. For example, the listing shows that the Realme GT Neo 5, codenamed RMX3708, is indeed powered by a premium Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 processor, which until recently we could call a flagship. But it is clear that we will find this chipset in many other premium phones this year, because it has performance to give away and its price is more favorable this year. For example, OnePlus is also going to use it for its OnePlus 11R/Ace 2 phones.
The Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 processor was supplemented with 16 GB of RAM during tests, but we expect versions with 8 GB and 12 GB of RAM to go on the market. The listing also confirmed that the Realme GT Neo 5 runs on the Android 13 operating system, to which the manufacturer will add the Realme UI 4.0 superstructure. And what are the test results? The phone scored 1279 points in the Single-core test and 3902 points in the multi-core test. Well, that's about all we can find out from the benchmark test.
Fortunately, we also have several other parameters at our disposal that were already estimated by tipsters. According to them, the Realme GT Neo 5 has a 6.74-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2772 × 1240 pixels. In the photo equipment of the main camera, we can find a 50 MP primary sensor, an 8 MP wide-angle lens and a 2 MP macro lens. The front camera is said to be 16 MP. It is speculated that the phone will go on the market in two versions, with the first getting a 4600mAh battery and 240W charging, and the second getting a 5000mAh battery and 150W charging. We expect that the manufacturer will start the campaign soon and we will learn a lot more about this phone.
