Moto X40 will arrive in December with Snapdragon 8 Gen2

You probably remember at the end of last year, when about a week after the launch of the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 flagship processor, the first phone with this chipset, the Moto Edge X30, debuted on the Chinese market. It then entered the global markets in February/February of this year with the trade name Moto Edge 30 Pro, where it is also doing quite successfully. However, the year is slowly coming to an end and we all know that Motorola will not repeat its triumph last year. The Moto X40 phone is still waiting for its launch and the first phone, Vivo X90 Pro Plus, with the new Snapdragon is already in the world.

THE MOTO X40 IS IP68 CERTIFIED 

Of course, we know a little about the upcoming Moto X40 premium phone from tipsters. The Tenaa certification also revealed something, and the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 processor was also confirmed by the Antutu benchmark tests. Now, more details have surfaced on the Chinese network , including the estimated date of the show, although it is very tentative. The teasers claim that the phone will arrive within the next month, which corresponds with previous estimates. 

But what is newly confirmed by the head of Lenovo's mobile division, Mr. Chen Jin, is water and dust resistance according to IP68 certification. Chen even refers to the upcoming model as an SUV among smartphones. In addition, IP68 certification is not very common for flagship phones, although the Xiaomi 13 series is also said to have this resistance.

From the other specifications of the Moto X40 phone, we highlight the OLED display with a diagonal of 6.67 inches and curved edges. The screen resolution is FullHD+ and the refresh rate, according to tipsters, reaches 144 Hz, but they do not rule out a frequency of up to 165 Hz either. Memory versions with 8/12/18 GB of LPDDR5x operating memory and 128/256/512 GB of internal storage will go to the Chinese market. The operating system is Android 13 with MyUI 5.0 superstructure. We also know that the battery has a capacity of 5000 mAh and supports fast charging with a power of 68 W. The main camera with two 50 MP sensors and a 12 MP telephoto lens is said to be ready for photography. The front camera is said to be 60 MP.
