Asus ROG Phone 6D and 6D Ultimate just unveiled

Asus has been announcing for some time that it is preparing new gaming phones from its popular ROG series. In addition, it also announced that the launch of the Asus ROG Phone 6D and ROG Phone 6D Ultimate models will take place today, i.e. September 19. And so it happened. The phones are here and now we will see what they have to offer.

ASUS ROG PHONE 6D AND 6D ULTIMATE SPECIFICATIONS 

The new gaming phones Asus ROG Phone 6D and 6D Ultimate are in a way a continuation of their predecessors from the ROG Phone 6 series . However, the main difference is the type of processor used. Unlike previous models powered by Qualcomm's chipset, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 received a processor from MediaTek's workshops. It is the latest Dimensity 9000 Plus chipset. But the manufacturer already announced it at the end of August.

Another difference is the use of LPDDR5x operating memory instead of the original LPDDR5. Its capacity is 16 GB, and in the case of the Asus ROG Phone 6D model, it was supplemented by 256 GB of internal storage, the Ultimate version received 512 GB of internal memory. Both new models also offer Bluetooth 5.3 support instead of Bluetooth 5.2. In addition, the Ultimate model has a special AeroActive Portal slot on the rear panel, which, when opened, actively cooperates with the AeroActive Cooler 6 cooling.

Other specifications of the new ROG Phone 6D are the same or very similar to those of the ROG Phone 6 models. The AMOLED display has a diagonal of 6.78 inches, a resolution of 2448 × 1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 165 Hz. The sampling frequency reached 720 Hz and the brightness reached 1200 nits. Here we find support for 111% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and HDR10+. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus. There is also splash resistance according to IPX4 certification.

The photo equipment also remains unchanged. The main camera is triple. The primary sensor has a resolution of 50 MP and is a Sony IMX766 sensor. The second 13 MP sensor works as a wide-angle lens with a 125° field of view, and the whole assembly was completed by a 5 MP macro lens. The front camera has 12 MP in both cases. The battery capacity and fast charging are also the same, namely 6000 mAh and the fast charging power is 65 W. Let's also add that on the rear panel of the Ultimate model we find a small color ROG Vision display. The phones of the Asus ROG Phone 6D series go to the market only in the color Space Gray. In Britain, the standard model will cost 799 pounds (roughly Price in Sri Lanka 335,251 LKR) and the Ultimate model will cost 1,199 pounds (Price in Sri Lanka 503086 LKR).
