Asus ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro introduced

Not only Xiaomi presented its phones with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 processor. The presentation was also planned by the Asus company and it introduced the gaming machines of the Asus ROG Phone 6 series. The first important piece of information is that two models are coming to the market, namely ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro. The phones have some parameters in common, but there are some differences.

DESIGN AND DISPLAYS OF ASUS ROG PHONE 6 SERIES PHONES 

Just like several times before, this year's Asus ROG Phone 6 models also have a specific appearance of gaming phones. This was especially evident on their rear panels. The standard model has a vertical RGB strip on the back that lights up in two different colors at once. The Pro model has a small secondary display on the back, which can be set by the user to display notifications, for example. The main camera module is slightly larger than previous generations of these phones.

As for the display, it is the same for the Asus ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro models. It is a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2448 × 1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 165 Hz. The sampling frequency reached 720 Hz and the brightness reached 1200 nits. Here we find support for 111% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and HDR10+. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus.

OTHER SPECIFICATIONS 

As expected, Asus used the flagship Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 processor for its new gaming machines. In the case of the standard model, it was supplemented by 12/16 GB of operating memory and 256 GB of internal storage. The model goes to market with 18 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal memory. To ensure maximum processor performance, the manufacturer added an optimized and improved cooling system that can reduce the CPU temperature by up to 10 °C. The Air Trigger 6 gaming programmable ultrasonic buttons are also making a comeback. The phones also have two front speakers, triple microphones, Dirac Viruto surround sound and a headphone jack. There is also splash resistance according to IPX4 certification.

The battery of both phones has a capacity of 6000 mAh and supports fast charging with a power of 65 W. Connectivity is represented by 5G SA/NSA, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ax, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, GLONASS, Beidou, Galileo (E1/E5a), QZSS (L1/L5), NavIC (L5), USB-C and NFC. The fingerprint sensor is integrated into the display. The operating system is Android 12 with the ROG UI game superstructure.

PHOTO EQUIPMENT, PRICES AND AVAILABILITY 

The main camera of the new Asus ROG Phone 6 is triple. The primary sensor has a resolution of 50 MP and is a Sony IMX766 sensor. The second 13 MP sensor functions as a wide-angle lens with a 125° field of view, and the whole assembly was completed by a 5 MP macro lens. The front camera has 12 MP in both cases.

A few accessories like the AirActive cooler and the ROG Kunai gamepad were also launched along with the phones. ROG Cetra True Wireless and Cetra True Wireless Pro headphones are also available. The Asus ROG Phone 6 is coming to the European market in Phantom Black and Storm White colors, and their prices in that market are as follows:
