Xiaomi 12S Ultra introduced with excellent photo equipment
There are minimal bezels around the display, including the chin. XIAOMI 12S ULTRA DESIGN AND DISPLAY
Its design also proves that the Xiaomi 12S Ultra is a truly premium machine. What is particularly attractive is the appearance of the back panel with a really large main camera module, which makes it clear that the main draw is the photo equipment. The module is rectangular and occupies one third of the back. In the center of the rectangle is a large circle in which all the photo sensors and the LED flash are stored. Of course, the logo of the Leica company, which was involved in the camera's optics, is also present. The edge of the circular part of the camera, which is coated with 23 kt gold, adds a stamp of exclusivity.

OTHER SPECIFICATIONS
Like any proper premium phone released in the second half of this year, the Xiaomi 12S Ultra is powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 processor. It was complemented by 8/12 GB of operating memory and 256/512 GB of internal storage. And to top it off, the chipset is assisted by two Surge P1 Charging and Surge G1 co-processors for battery protection against overcharging, optimization and better endurance. And speaking of the battery, it should be mentioned that it has a capacity of 4860 mAh. It supports 67W wired charging, 50W wireless charging as well as 10W wireless reverse charging.
Connectivity is represented by 5G SA/NSA, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6E 802.11 ax, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS (L1/L5), NavIC, USB-C, IR blaster and NFC. The fingerprint sensor is integrated into the display and the operating system is Android 12 with the MIUI 13 superstructure. The manufacturer also added an improved cooling system, dual Harman Kardon stereo speakers with support for Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res audio.
PHOTO EQUIPMENT
The main camera of the Xiaomi 12S Ultra is perfect. Although we could say that it is somewhat similar to the one that last year's Mi 11 Ultra model has, but there are still improvements. The main one is optics from Leica, with which Xiaomi concluded a cooperation agreement this year. Thanks to this, the main camera has a Leica Summicron lens system as well as a wide range of Leica filters and two Leica photo modes. However, for the 12S Ultra model, the manufacturer was the first in the world to use the Sony IMX989 primary sensor with a resolution of 50 MP and a size of 1 inch. The size of individual pixels is 3.2 µm and the focal length is 23 mm. The sensor supports 4-in-1 binning, Hyper OIS and 8K video recording. The main camera also includes a 48MP Sony IMX586 wide-angle lens with a 128° field of view and a 48MP Sony IMX586 periscope sensor with up to 120x digital zoom and OIS. The front camera has 32 MP.
PRICE AND AVAILABILITY
The Xiaomi 12S Ultra comes in Classic Black and Verdant Green colors with a back panel surface that imitates cowhide texture. The phone is already in pre-order status in the Chinese market, with sales starting on July 8/July. Unfortunately, Xiaomi has announced that the phone is exclusive to the Chinese market, so we won't see it in global markets. The version with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal memory will cost 5999 yuan, which is roughly $896. The version with 12/256 GB will cost 6,499 yuan, or about $971. And the latest version with 12/512 GB costs 6999 yuan, about 1046 dollars.
