Oppo Reno 8 Pro global version on Geekbench

Our regular readers have certainly not missed the fact that last month the Oppo Reno 8 series phones were launched on the Chinese market. Three models, namely the Reno 8, Reno 8 Pro and Reno 8 Pro Plus, went on the market. Shortly afterwards, the Reno 8 Lite phone appeared somewhat surprisingly in Europe , but it has little in common with the newly released series. This is a redesignated Chinese model Reno 7 Lite 5G. Nevertheless, there is talk that the original models of the Reno 8 series will enter global markets, and therefore also in Europe, including the Oppo Reno 8 Pro model, which has just passed tests on the Geekbench benchmark platform.

WHAT WILL THE GLOBAL VERSION OF OPPO RENO 8 PRO LOOK LIKE? 

And why are we interested in the Oppo Reno 8 Pro model? This is mainly because it is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen1 processor on the Chinese market, which was officially introduced shortly before the phone was launched. However, Geekbench tests are a bit confusing. The phone went through them with the Dimensity 8100 processor. But this chipset powers the Chinese version of the Reno 8 Pro Plus model. So it is possible that a phone with this trade name will not reach global markets at all and the manufacturer will turn it into a Reno 8 Pro model.

But let's go back to the Geekbench tests. The Oppo Reno 8 Pro is codenamed Oppo CPH2357 and is powered by an eight-core processor with a maximum core clock speed of 2.85 GHz and a Mali-G610 MC6 GPU. And this is the already mentioned Dimensity 8100 or 8100 Max. During the tests, it was supplemented by 12 GB of operating memory and the Android 12 system. In the single-core test, the phone gained 898 points and in the multi-core test, 3555 points.

If our reasoning is correct and the Chinese Reno 8 Pro Plus is a global Oppo Reno 8 Pro, we can expect a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with FullHD + resolution, a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a maximum brightness of 950 nits. In addition to 12 GB of RAM, an 8 GB version can also be launched on the global market. The internal storage is 256 GB. The battery has a capacity of 4500 mAh and supports fast charging with a power of 80 W. The front camera received 32 MP and the main camera consists of 50 MP, 8 MP and 2 MP sensors. But let's wait for these specifications from the global version to be confirmed by the manufacturer.
