The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra did not dazzle in the test on DxOMark

Not so long ago, Samsung's high-end cameras set the pace for the entire mobile industry. However, this is slowly ceasing to be true, as it will easily clear positions in this area without debate. They still produce high-quality and great cameras, but it's simply not enough for the very top. And this year's flagship seems to underline this. The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra has a lot to offer, including the amazing LTPO AMOLED panel or S-pen stylus. But according to the current camera test on DxOMark , it is clearly one step behind the absolute peak.

Which, of course, does not prevent great interest in this novelty, because there are reportedly so many pre-orders that those interested will wait until April. But from a phone with a price starting at our officially 32,000 crowns, one simply expects uncompromising performance in every area. In tests on the DxOMark, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is of course highly praised for its good white balance, color, as well as great progress in zoom and video options. However, critics received slower autofocus as well as inconsistent video focus in image transitions.

The competition is relentless and the total of 131 points achieved is enough for only 13th place in the rankings. Exactly at the level of last year's OPPO Find X3 Pro and even below the results of last year's models such as Huawei P40 Pro or Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra. Quite simply, more was expected. However, it should be noted that the tested piece was a version with Exynos 2200. Theoretically, the variant with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 should give fous better results due to different ISP. Of course, it is not guaranteed anywhere. In addition, the variant with Exynos applies to our people in Europe.
