Realme's first phone with an under-display

The ZTE Axon 20 5G was launched last year as the world's first under-display camera phone, and later Samsung and Xiaomi teamed up with the Galaxy Z Fold3 5G and Xiaomi Mix 4. Realme, another Chinese smartphone maker, is already in the process of launching there. The first under-display camera phone. The company has now filed a patent for a smartphone that has no cutout or notch for its selfie camera. That means this could be Realme's first phone with a under-display selfie camera.

You might think that the phone might have a selfie camera in pop-up mode. Xu Qi Chase, vice president of Realme, has already explained that Realme phones do not come with a boot selfie camera, so it will not. So, the Realme device in the patented images actually has a under-display selfie camera.

Patent photos reveal that the phone has a rectangular camera module with three sensors on the back and an LED flash. Removing the notch or punch-hole cutouts gives a higher screen-to-body ratio, which is also the case with this realme phone. It has a power button on the right and volume buttons on the left. The lower part has a USB Type-C port and a cutout for a sim disk. There is no cutout for its 3.5mm headphone jack.

In September, Xu Qi Chase posted an image of an unknown smartphone (uploaded at the beginning of this post) with no notch or cutout for its selfie camera. Therefore, it will probably be the first display selfie camera phone from Realme. In addition to Realme, some other Chinese companies are said to be working on under-display selfie camera technology for Honor, Oppo and Vivo smartphones.
