It's been no secret for a long time that OnePlus is preparing a new generation of Ace series phones for the Chinese market. As early as the middle of last month, tipsters suggested that these are the Oneplus Ace 5 series models and that the manufacturer will send them to the market in December/December. Subsequently, they estimated the main specifications of both the standard Ace 5 model and the Ace 5 Pro model.

Ace 5 series tipsters also added that if history repeats itself, the standard OnePlus Ace 5 will be rebranded and sent to global markets as the OnePlus 13R . And this global model is certain to debut outside of China alongside the global version of the flagship OnePlus 13. The launch will likely take place in early January. However, what we lacked was confirmation of the exact launch date for the Ace 5 series in China.

OnePlus Ace 5 series to arrive after Christmas Day 

So today we finally got to see it. OnePlus President, Mr. Li Jie Louis, confirmed on his Weibo account that the upcoming Ace 5 series phones have a Chinese launch event scheduled for December 26th at 2:30 PM local time. Of course, he also talked about how great and powerful both phones are. He confirmed the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 processor for the standard model and the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset for the Pro model. But we kind of expected that.

The processor of the standard Ace 5 model was also improved and its performance was increased. And if we wanted to translate it into numbers, it could be called the Snapdragon 8 Gen3.5. This increase in performance will improve the gaming experience to an unprecedented level. The phones also have improved batteries, with the manufacturer betting on silicon-carbon batteries with Glacier Battery technology. These are basically thin cells with higher capacity and energy density. It is likely that the Ace 5 series models will receive essentially the same parameters with the difference in the processors used and battery capacity. We also expect the manufacturer to launch a promo campaign in the coming days, where we will learn more details.
