Huawei has announced a major presentation event scheduled for September 10th, where they are expected to unveil some exciting new products. Among the anticipated announcements is the groundbreaking Huawei Mate XT, a unique triple-folding phone featuring two opposite folding hinges. Initially, its introduction was uncertain, but recent reports confirm that this innovative device will indeed make its debut under the trade name Huawei Mate XT.
The Huawei Mate series is one of the company's two premium product lines, and it was also the first to feature a foldable phone with the release of the Mate X in 2019. It’s no surprise that the Huawei Mate XT, with its unique design and advanced features, will be part of this prestigious lineup.
Huawei has already released a teaser video featuring popular Chinese actress Yang Mi, promoting the Mate XT foldable phone. While the video does not reveal the physical phone, the actress describes it as slim and equipped with an innovative multi-mode folding mechanism. She emphasizes that it’s an incredible phone, though specifics remain under wraps.
However, tipsters on Chinese social media platform Weibo have provided some additional insights. One tipster shared two images purportedly of the Mate XT, though their authenticity is unconfirmed. The phone is rumored to be equipped with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage, with the possibility of other memory variants being available upon release.
The Huawei Mate XT is expected to carry a high price tag, with estimates placing it at 16,888 yuan in the Chinese market, approximately $2,371. This price point reflects the cutting-edge nature of the device, which is the first of its kind. The Mate XT is rumored to feature a fully unfolded internal display with a diagonal of approximately 10 inches. It will run on Harmony OS and offer advanced multitasking and stylus support. Official specifications have yet to be disclosed by Huawei.
