Motorola Edge 50 launched in India

Motorola has launched its new Motorola Edge 50 smartphone in the Indian market. The company has already introduced the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion and Pro smartphones and now the time has come for a new phone in the range. Below we take a look at all the details about the Motorola Edge 50 phone.

Motorola Edge 50 Design

The vanilla Edge 50 looks similar to the other phones in the range. It has a box camera module on the top left side of the smartphone. In the center of the phone is the Motorola brand. The build quality of the phone is good thanks to the metal frame. The phone is available in vegan leather in Jungle Green and Pantone Peach Fuzz color variants. The special version is the Koala Gray variant that comes with a vegan suede finish.

Motorola Edge 50 is a slim phone with MIL-STD 810H certification. The device is only 7.79 mm thick and weighs 181 grams. The phone also features Smart Water Touch technology, which allows users to operate the phone with wet hands. There is also an IP68 degree of protection for dust and water resistance.

The new Edge 50 got a 6.67-inch pOLED panel. It has a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The display is visible even in bright sunlight thanks to a peak brightness of 1,900 nits. Other highlights include HDR10+ support and SGS Blue Light Reduction certification. The Edge 50 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset under the hood. It is an upper mid-range chipset that provides high performance and efficiency. Although it may not be the most powerful in the segment. The chip complements 8 GB of LPDDR4X operating memory and up to 256 GB of storage.

The camera lineup is dominated by a 50MP primary camera, a 10MP 3x telephoto lens and finally a 13MP ultra-wide-angle sensor. It thus provides a versatile experience of using photos. For taking selfies and video calls, we see a 13MP camera on the front.

The Edge 50 smartphone has a battery with a capacity of 5,000 mAh. It supports 68W fast charging. In addition, the phone also supports 15W wireless charging and 5W reverse wireless charging.
