Xiaomi Civi 3 – a beauty with a dual selfie camera
Fans of Xiaomi phones who, in addition to the brand, also put up with a stylish design, received a gift yesterday. The planned presentation of the Xiaomi Civi 3 phone took place . If the models from this series were characterized by an attractive appearance, the new product trumped them all. The Civi 3 model is really a joy to look at, and if we add to that a decent equipment at an affordable price, we have to say that this really succeeded. Perhaps that is also why the manufacturer drew attention to this phone quite a long time before its launch, so we know all its main specifications. But still, we will summarize them now.
DESIGN AND DISPLAY OF THE XIAOMI CIVI 3 MODEL
As soon as the Xiaomi Civi 3 model was introduced, it was immediately considered one of the most visually appealing phones on the market. The back panel, which has a simple but still attractive appearance, gives it flair. The backs are made in soft pastel colors and their different shade divides the panel into two halves.
In the upper one, which is lighter, we see a large circular camera module with a metal surround, the color of which perfectly matches the color of the back. The LED flash is located under the camera module. The side edges of the back and front panels are curved, the bezels around the display are minimal, and there is an oval “hole” in the center of the upper part of the screen for the front dual camera. Another advantage of the Xiaomi Civi 3 is that it is very slim with a thickness of 7.56 mm and a weight of 173 grams.
The display is an OLED type with a diagonal of 6.55 inches, a resolution of 2400 × 1080 pixels, a refresh rate of 120 Hz and an aspect ratio of 20:9. The screen supports 240 Hz sampling rate, up to 1500 nits brightness, HDR10+, Dolby Vision and 1920 Hz PWM dimming. Gorilla Glass 5 provides protection.
OTHER SPECIFICATIONS
The fact that the Xiaomi Civi 3 phone is camera-oriented is also indicated by the processor used. It is the Dimensity 8200 Ultra chipset, which is tailor-made for the new phone. Xiaomi has customized it to support cameras well. Therefore, it includes Mali-G610 MC6 GPU, IMG BXT 6E Gen1 ISP and MediaTek APU 690 AI engine. This reduced the power consumption of the camera application and increased the capture speed. Up to 30 new video recording functions have also been added.
The processor is paired with 12 GB/16 GB of RAM and 256 GB/512 GB and 1 TB of internal storage. Connectivity is represented by 5G SA/NSA, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6 802.11 ax, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS (L1/L5), USB-C and NFC. The fingerprint sensor is integrated into the display and there is also an IR blaster and dual speakers with Dolby Atmos. The battery has a capacity of 4500 mAh and supports fast charging with a power of 67 W. The operating system is Android 13 with the MIUI 14 superstructure.
PHOTO EQUIPMENT, PRICES AND AVAILABILITY
We have already touched on the photo equipment of the Xiaomi Civi 3 phone, so now we will look at it in more detail. The main camera is triple. The Sony IMX800 primary sensor has a resolution of 50 MPix, f/1.77 aperture and OIS support. It was complemented by a wide-angle 8 MP Sony IMX355 lens with a 120° field of view and an aperture of f/2.2. The third sensor is a 2 MP macro lens with f/2.4 aperture. The front camera is dual with two 32 MP sensors. One of the sensors, Samsung S5KGD2, is portrait with 2x zoom, EIS and AF. The second sensor is wide-angle with a coverage of 100°. Above the front camera module, in the upper frame, is the AI Super Sense Four Soft flash, which, thanks to user settings of up to five cold and warm flashes, will support the shooting of natural selfies in all lighting conditions.
The Xiaomi Civi 3 phone is coming to the Chinese market in Rose Purple, Mint Green, Adventure Gold and Coconut Ash colors. Pre-orders are now open, sales start May 31/May. Prices for individual memory versions are as follows:

- 12GB/512GB - 2699 Yuan ($382)
- 16GB/1TB - 2999 yuan ($424)
