It's clear that the fall will see the launch of the Pixel 8 phones, but before that, in June/June, we'll see the first Google Pixel Fold and the Pixel 7A. At the same time, we expect that Google will offer us such a first taste of the upcoming machines at its developer conference I/O next month.
Pixel fans are naturally most curious about the foldable Google Pixel Fold model, so now we'll try to summarize everything we know about it so far. And there is quite a lot, because this machine has been talked about for a very long time. The manufacturer has been working on it for some Friday and keeps postponing the release, saying that he wants it to be perfect both in terms of hardware and software.
WHAT WE KNOW SO FAR ABOUT THE FOLDING MODEL GOOGLE PIXEL FOLD
As part of the summary, we'll start with what we can currently find on the CNBC site . According to them, the manufacturer will present the folding phone Google Pixel Fold at the I/O conference and will send it to the market on June 27. The deadline is smartly timed as it comes right before the launch of Samsung's foldable phones. Google also wants to compete with folding Samsungs with the price of its Pixel Fold. It should cost around $1,700, while the foldable Galaxy Fold 4 will cost around $1,799.
And to really have something to compete with Samsung, the Google Pixel Fold will get a very durable folding hinge. In general, the phone is also said to be durable, which is reflected in its construction, which is more robust compared to the competition. Such a construction also increases the weight of the phone, which rises to 283 grams. The folding Pixel is also said to have a larger battery with a longer life than the Galaxy Fold 4. In cooperation with the Tensor G2 processor, the battery is said to be able to last up to 24 hours of continuous use and up to 72 hours in low power consumption mode. Let's also add that the internal display has a diagonal of 7.6 inches when unfolded and is said to be made of flexible polymer material. The external display then has a diagonal of 5.8 inches.
