Qualcomm introduced the Snapdragon X72 and X75 modems

Qualcomm is probably the most well-known processor manufacturer in the minds of fans of mobile technology. In the fall of each year, they introduce a new Snapdragon flagship chipset , and during the year also processors for mid-range phones or wearables. But that's not all Qualcomm lives on. For example, they also produce modems and have just introduced two brand new ones .

As Qulacomm is also heavily involved in the development of improving the performance and availability of 5G networks, the newly launched Snapdragon X72 and X75 modems are designed to fully support 5G Advanced networks and pave the way for Wi-Fi 7. The Snapdragon X72 modem is tailored tailored for mid-range smartphones, and the Snapdragon X75 is ready for phones as well as for cars, computers and industrial IoT.

MODEM QUALCOMM SNAPDRAGON X72 

This Qualcomm modem is built on 10nm manufacturing technology. It supports sub-6 GHz bands as well as the new QTM565 mmWave antenna module and reaches a maximum download speed of up to 7.5 Gbps and upload speed of up to 3 Gbps. It supports standalone and non-standalone 5G modes as well as dual SIM functionality. It also includes Qualcomm 5G PowerSave Gen4 technology and RF Power Efficiency Suite for longer battery life and stability. This modem may appear in the first smartphones already at the end of this year.

MODEM SNAPDRAGON X75 

As mentioned, the Snapdragon X75 modem is prepared by Qualcomm for automotive, computing and industrial IoT. But it can be used with premium phones. It is built on a 4nm manufacturing process and supports both sub-6 GHz and QTM565 mmWave bands. It reaches a maximum download speed of up to 10 Gbps and an upload speed of up to 3 Gbps. As with the previous modem, we can find Qualcomm 5G PowerSave Gen4 and RF Power Efficiency Suite technologies here. Qualcomm claims that both new modems represent a significant step forward in the development of 5G technology. They offer faster download speeds, better coverage and improved energy efficiency. This makes them ideal for use in a wide range of devices.
