Red Magic 8 Pro has a confirmed launch date

The Red Magic brand focuses on the production of gaming phones. It must be said that she is doing well in relatively strong competition and has gained a decent number of fans quite quickly. At the beginning of this year, it introduced two models , the Magic 7 and Magic 7 Pro with the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen1 processor, and in the summer they were followed by the Magic 7S and 7S Pro models with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 chipset. Well, since the next flagship chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Gen2, has been around for some time now, we're also expecting the release of the Red Magic 8 Pro gaming phone.

WHEN WILL THE GAMING RED MAGIC 8 PRO ARRIVE? 

The Red Magic 8 Pro received Chinese 3C, Tenaa and MIIT certifications in recent weeks, confirming some of its specifications. At the same time, they are also a harbinger of the upcoming launch of this gaming machine on the Chinese market. The manufacturer was in no hurry to confirm the date of the model and published it only yesterday on Chinese Weibo. It is clear from the trailer that the launch in China will take place on December 26th at 15:00 local time, but pre-orders are already open.

The teaser announcing the arrival of the Red Magic 8 Pro phone also shows that this model also has a gaming design like its predecessors. The display is flat as are the edges of the device. There are two game buttons on one of them. Two versions will go on the market, one with a transparent back panel and its trade name will probably be Red Magic 8 Pro Plus. The version with an opaque back will then be the Magic 8 Pro.

And how is the upcoming phone with the specifications? According to Tenaa's certification listing, it sports a 6.8-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2480×1116 pixels. The display lacks a "hole" for the front camera, which increased its usable area. But we won't lose the selfie camera, because it's under the screen. The main camera is triple with 50 MPix, 8 MPix and 2 MPix sensors. The Snapdragon 8 Gen2 processor complements 8/12/16 GB of RAM and 256/512 GB and 1 TB of internal storage. The battery has a capacity of 5000 mAh in the first version of the phone and 6000 mAh in the second. In both cases, it supports fast charging with a power of 165 W. The dimensions of the phone are 163.98 x 76.35 x 8.9 mm with a weight of 228 grams. The operating system is Android 13 with the RedMagic game superstructure.
