Of course, both new phones already have it, so their owners can immediately enjoy the new functions both the operating system and the user interface. In addition, the new build version also has a smaller firmware than the MIUI 13 version. And it also has improved architecture, performance and efficiency.
NEWS IN THE MIUI 14 SUPERSTRUCTURE
First, let's look at the design of the MIUI 14 user interface. The appearance is quite redesigned, the icons are large, but their sizes can be adjusted. There are also new formats for widgets and folders on the home screen that users can customize as well. However, compared to software modifications, these are only cosmetic modifications.
For the MIUI 14 superstructure, the developers of Xiaomi focused primarily on performance. There has been a significant optimization of the use of system memory and a reduction of system applications. There are only eight apps left that cannot be uninstalled. This made it possible to change the size of the superstructure and save 1.5 GB. The memory is also optimized for the use of third-party applications, which now run faster and more smoothly. The software also offers new notification management options where newly installed apps require notification authorization. The improvement in privacy is also significant, since no user data is stored in the cloud, but all actions are performed directly on the device.
In MIUI 14, we will also find several new artificial intelligence functions, such as extracting texts from images, holding the text on the image in the gallery for easy identification, or functions for live subtitles in video conferences. In connection with this, the functions of the XiaoAI voice assistant have also been improved, which now performs daily tasks using simple voice commands. Among other things, the new version of the user interface also offers easy connection with other products of the Xiaomi ecosystem. Xiaomi also announced that the update to MIUI 14 will start in China in January 2023, and the latest phones will receive the update first, including the Xiaomi 12 series, Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 and or the Redmi K50 series.
