ZTE Axon 40 Ultra Space Edition introduced
ZTE is the leader in phone segments with a camera under the display. This spring, it introduced the third model in a row, the Axon 40 Ultra , which has such a camera. It must be added that the camera is properly improved, so that the photo outputs from it are also at a very decent level. Together with the Ultra model, the Axon 40 Pro model also debuted , but it has a front camera stored classically. And to make matters worse, the ZTE Axon 40 Ultra Space Edition phone has now been introduced . According to the manufacturer, this phone is a small celebratory ode to China's first manned space flight. Hence the name Space Edition.
It can be said quite simply that the newly introduced ZTE Axon 40 Ultra Space Edition is only slightly different from the original Axon 40 Ultra model. Still, there are a few changes. This time, the rear panel is made of ceramic material and the appearance of the main camera module has also changed slightly. The three rings for the photo sensors remain, but their rectangular border, which formed the basis of the module, has disappeared. The manufacturer also claims that the texture of the ceramic back is special and was created using nanocasting. However, it is difficult to say what to imagine under it. Like the original model, this Space edition has its own security chip to protect privacy.
ZTE Axon 40 Ultra Space Edition has significantly added memory. It goes on the market in two versions with 12 GB of operating memory and 512 GB of internal storage and 18 GB of RAM and 1 TB of internal memory. Other specifications are the same as the original Axon 40 Ultra model. Here too we find an AMOLED display with a diagonal of 6.8 inches, a resolution of 2480 × 1116 pixels, a fineness of 400 ppi, a refresh rate of 120 Hz and an integrated fingerprint sensor.
The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen1 processor with the above memory configurations. The battery has a decent capacity of 5000 mAh and supports fast charging with a power of 80 W. The main camera consists of three 64 MP sensors for the primary, wide-angle lens and periscopic lens. The front camera under the display has 16 MP. The Space Edition is already in pre-order mode on the Chinese market, sales will start on December 6. The 12GB/512GB version will cost 5,898 yuan, which is roughly $834. The version with 18 GB/1 TB then costs 7698 yuan, i.e. approximately 1088 dollars.
