Moto G Play (2022): We know the design of the phone
The Moto G Play (2022) smartphone has recently appeared on the Internet in the form of leaked images. But as you can imagine, there is no official confirmation. Anyway, we suspect that Motorola is going to expand its already impressive list of smartphones.
Unfortunately , the Moto G Play sub-brand did not gain much popularity among Motorola fans. The G Play 2021 version was spotted on the Google Play console back in December 2020. The Moto G Play (2021) was officially launched in January 2021. And now the 2022 variant of this phone is upon us.

Moto G Play (2022), as expected, will bring some improvements compared to its predecessor. On the other hand, the 2022 edition could retain the overall lackluster specs of the Moto G Play (2021). The affordability of the phone is mainly due to its modest specifications. However, the G Play (2022) smartphone will have a more powerful Mediatek Helio G37 processor under the hood.
Recall that the Moto G Play (2021) uses Qualcomm's Snapdragon 460 chipset. They will have IP52 dust and water resistance in common. In addition, the G Play models (both 2021 and 2022) received the same 6.5-inch IPS LCD touchscreen display. The device will come with 3GB of RAM and offer 32GB of inbuilt storage.
The entire system is powered by a battery with a capacity of 5,000 mAh. According to GSM Arena , this battery supports 10W charging. G Play (2022) will come with the Android 12 operating system. In terms of optics, the phone has three cameras on the back including a 16 Mpx main sensor. In addition, the G Play (2022) will add two 2MP sensors on the back for macro and depth images. There is a 5MP selfie camera on the front of the device.
So to sum it up. The G Play (2022) has a different processor and better cameras than its predecessor. It also has a more attractive back panel than the 2021 model. We will know from Motorola soon when this phone will hit the market. But will anyone be interested?
