Honor X40 GT debuts in China
The Honor brand planned an introduction to the Chinese market yesterday. It introduced another model from the X40 product line with the trade name Honor X40 GT. The new phone has received several improvements compared to the recently launched Honor X40 standard model, and the manufacturer claims that it is primarily focused on performance. Hence the designation "GT" in the name. Although we already know some of the specifications of the presented phone, let's summarize them all now.
HONOR X40 GT SPECIFICATIONS SUMMARY
At first glance, it is clear that the manufacturer is sticking to its well-established design line with the Honor X40 GT model, with a large circular main camera module that lies in the center of the upper part of the rear panel. There are narrow frames around the front panel, the chin is slightly wider. In the center of the top of the display is a "hole" for the front camera.
The display as such is of the TFT LCD type, has a diagonal of 6.81 inches and a resolution of 2388 × 1080 pixels. The refresh rate reached 144 Hz and the sampling rate 480 Hz. The aspect ratio is 19.9:9 and the fingerprint sensor is located on the side edge due to the type of display.
The Snapdragon 888 processor provides enough gaming power for the Honor X40 GT. Although it is an older flagship chipset, it is still better and more powerful than some mid-range Qualcomm chipsets. The manufacturer added 8 GB or 12 GB of operating memory and 256 GB of internal storage to the processor. Connectivity is represented by 5G SA/NSA, dual 4G VoLTE, 2×2 MIMO, Wi-Fi 6 (2.4 GHz/5 GHz), Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, AGPS, GLONASS, Beidou, Galileo, NFC and USB-C. The battery has a capacity of 4800 mAh and supports fast charging with a power of 66 W. A special 13-layer 3D cooling system ensures proper heat dissipation. The operating system is Android 12 with Magic UI 6.1 superstructure.
PHOTO EQUIPMENT, PRICES AND AVAILABILITY
Honor X40 GT has a large circular main camera module with three sensors and LED flash. The primary sensor has a resolution of 50 MP and an aperture of f/1.8. It was supplemented by two 2 MP sensors for macro photography and capturing depth of field. The front camera got 16 MP. The Honor X40 GT is launching in China in Racing Black, Phantom Night Black and Titanium Empty Silver colors. Pre-orders are already running, sales will start on October 18. The price for the 8GB/256GB version is set at 2099 yuan, which is roughly $292. The 12GB/256GB version will then cost 2,399 yuan, or approximately $334.
