OnePlus phone with Snapdragon 8 Gen2 is said to arrive sooner
OnePlus introduced the OnePlus 10T to global markets early last month . The same model with the trade name OnePlus Ace also reached China a little later. Both phones are powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 processor, making them clear flagship machines. Even before their release, tipsters estimated that it was the second and this year the last premium phone of this brand. Recall that the first model was the OnePlus 10 Pro with a Snapdragon 8 Gen1 processor. This spring, after the Chinese premiere, it also reached the global market. However, it seems that a OnePlus phone with an as-yet-unannounced Qualcomm flagship chipset is already on the way.
WHEN WILL THE ONEPLUS PHONE WITH SNAPDRAGON 8 GEN2 ARRIVE?
Before answering the question of when the OnePlus phone with the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen2 will arrive, let's take a look at when the mentioned processor will be launched. Qualcomm usually unveils a new flagship chipset at its regular Snapdragon Summit. It will be held a little earlier this year, specifically in mid-November/November. It is clear that even before that, perhaps all established manufacturers will try to get the new chipset and send their first flagship model with this processor to the market as soon as possible after its introduction.
The main contenders for the first place are the companies Xiaomi and Motorola, which fought a fierce battle last year. And as we know, Motorola won it last year. But tipsters estimate that Xiaomi will take the laurels this year, because it wants to introduce its Xiaomi 13 series phones immediately after the release of the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 chipset, which means in November. However, the well-known tipster Digital Chat Station on the Chinese network suggests that the OnePlus flagship phone will also arrive earlier.
Although he does not say what trade name the upcoming phone will get, he clearly mentions that it is powered by the SM8550 chipset, i.e. Snapdragon 8 Gen2. And it suggests that we will see a new machine from the OnePlus stable before the end of this year. So he probably means December/December. And if he's not mistaken, the previous rumors that the OnePlus 10T is the last flagship for this year are wrong. But launching at the very end of the year may mean that the phone will not go on sale until the beginning of next year.
