Motorola Edge (2022) will probably get a 144 Hz OLED display

Motorola phones have been really busy in recent days. In particular, the cancellation of yesterday's much-anticipated presentation of the Edge X30 Pro and RAZR 2022 flagship models surprised many. And apparently even the company representatives themselves were unpleasantly surprised. Which essentially confirms the speculation about the political reasons for canceling the event in connection with the tension around Taiwan. In any case, we will hope that this is only a small stumble and we will see both news items very soon. Today, we can add another interesting piece to them, the Motorola Edge (2022).

The refresh of the base model of the Edge series should theoretically appear this quarter, and we can already assign the first specific specifications to the phone . And it will definitely have a lot to offer, although it appears to be "only" middle class. This is especially indicated by speculations about the use of the not yet presented Mediatek MT6879 chipset, which is probably the upcoming Dimensity 1050. It will be an eight-core chipset with two Cortex-A78 cores and six Cortex-A55 cores. It will then be complemented by Mali-G79 graphics, 6GB/8GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of internal memory. Alternatively, a very solid 6000 mAh battery capacity.

GREAT 144 HZ DISPLAY 

At first glance, the main attraction will definitely be the display, because the 6.5-inch P-OLED with FullHD+ resolution will offer 144 Hz. You really don't see that in the middle class. The selfie camera will then be hidden in an opening on the axis of the display and will receive a resolution of 32 Mpx. But the rear camera assembly will not be thrown away either. The main 50 Mpx sensor will get optical stabilization and it will have a 13 Mpx ultra-wide and a 2 Mpx depth of field sensor. The Motorola Edge (2022) should have the exact dimensions of 160.8 × 74.2 × 8.2 mm and will unfortunately lack a 3.5 mm headphone audio jack.

However, the possible price of this phone remains in the stars for now. The equipment is somewhere on the border between middle and upper middle class, so perhaps we wouldn't have to dig deep into our wallets. But we would only speculate, and for a start we have to wait mainly for the introduction of the Edge X30 Pro and the flexible RAZR 2022. Only then will it come to the Motorola Edge (2022).
