Is the legendary HTC really coming back to the phone market?
In the wooden days of the mobile industry, several legendary names were at the forefront. Many of them also no longer exist effectively and only memories remain. Taiwan's HTC definitely belonged to the top in the past and has a number of excellent phones to its credit. Witnesses will surely shed a tear over some of the Wildfire models or many successful pieces with Windows Mobile. The fall from fame was gradual for the company, but in the end relatively fast. Exaggerated prices and "big eyes" of top management broke their bond in part.
In 2018, a large part of the company, including a number of patents and the development team, was bought by Google. HTC has been picking up on the mobile market ever since, even though we still got a few pieces out of their workshop. For example , the Desire 20 Pro from 2020 also reached Europe and had quite decent sales numbers. But, of course, it was still a long way from ancient successes. But maybe they're starting to shine for a better time, because maybe their next comeback is coming.
HTC RETURN TO THE SCENE?
Already in March, information emerged that perhaps HTC should send a brand new premium phone to the market in April. And because the source was one of the company's high-ranking bosses, fans slowly began to enjoy themselves. After all, the latest premium high-end model from HTC is already quite bearded, because the HTC U12 + saw the light of day in 2018. Unfortunately, nothing happened in April and the company's return to high game is still shrouded in mystery.
But one of their new mysterious phones has recently appeared in the certification process of the Dutch Telefication Office. Under the name HTC 2QBK200, it meets the Japanese certification requirements, although it is a mystery what it does in the Netherlands… In any case, it is further proof of HTC's activity, at least in some respects. Could this be the new high-end piece mentioned? We'll find out soon enough.
