Xiaomi has officially confirmed its partnership with Leica

As early as March / March, there was speculation that Xiaomi and Leica would enter into a mutual partnership. There has also been speculation that the first Leica optics phone will be premium and will be launched in the second half of this year. Now it looks like speculation has really worked out for the tipsters, because today Xiaomi has officially confirmed this long-term partnership . He also announces that he will present the first phone that emerges from this cooperation in July / July. It is therefore obvious that this may be the flagship Xiaomi 12 Ultra, which we are already waiting to see.
It should be noted that Leica's partnership with smartphone manufacturers has a long tradition. The company has worked with Huawei, Sharp and Panasonic, for example. Xiaomi is thus the fourth company in a row. Leica has probably had the most fruitful cooperation with Huawei so far, which has been significantly reduced and subsequently ended by US sanctions. It is therefore logical that Leica is looking for a partner who is one of the established smartphone manufacturers and at the same time there is minimal risk of falling into disfavor with the USA.
The partnership is therefore confirmed, but not a word was said about which of the Xiaomi phones the Leica optics will receive first. Given that the launch will not take place until July, we can estimate that in addition to the top photo equipment, the phone will also receive a Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 processor. Therefore, it is likely that the chosen machine is the Xiaomi 12 Ultra. In addition, tipsters have been announcing a really premium main camera for a long time, which lies in a large circular module .
ESTIMATED SPECIFICATIONS OF THE XIAOMI 12 ULTRA
Although the Xiaomi 12 Ultra has been talked about for quite some time, information about its parameters is quite fragmentary. Tipsters estimate that AMOLED has a display with LTPO technology, QHD + resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz, but the size of the display has not been mentioned yet. They expect the already mentioned Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 processor and a battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh. Fast charging can be 120 W, or even 150 W. Up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of internal storage are expected within the memory. There is also talk of a primary 50 MPix Sony IMX800 sensor. However, the manufacturer has not confirmed any of this so far.
