Vivo S15 and S15 Pro have a confirmed performance date

We have known for some time that the Vivo brand is working on new phones from the S series . The other two phones have already received Tenaa certification, so we already have some idea of ​​their specifications. But the date of their introduction has been a mystery to this day.

So today, the launch date is declassified thanks to a simple trailer on Weibo in China . Teaser has confirmed that the Vivo S15 and S15 Pro will debut in China on May 19 at 7 p.m. local time. In addition to them, Vivo will also present TWS Air headphones, new color variants of the Vivo Pad tablet and the Watch 2 watch.

SPECIFICATIONS VIVO S15 AND S15 PRO 

Since we will not find out from the trailer how the Vivo S15 and S15 Pro phones are with the parameters, we will summarize at least the ones published by Tenaa. The phones have been certified with the code names V2199A and V2203A. The standard model has a 6.62-inch OLED display with FullHD + resolution. It is powered by a Snapdragon 870 processor with up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of internal storage. According to Tena, the battery has a total capacity of about 4580 mAh, because it is two-cell, where one cell has a capacity of 2290 mAh. The 3C certification confirmed support for fast charging with an output of 80 W. The front camera has 16 MPix and the main camera consists of 64 MPix, 8 MPix and 2 MPix sensors. The operating system is Android 12 with the OriginOS Ocean extension.

And what does TENNA say about the Vivo S15 Pro? Its OLED screen has a diagonal of 6.56 inches, FullHD + resolution and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. The manufacturer is said to have used the Dimensity 8100 as a processor, but we do not yet know the memory configuration. The battery with a capacity of 4500 mAh and support for fast charging with a power of 80 W has also been confirmed. There is talk of a main camera with a primary 50 MPix sensor and, of course, the Android 12 operating system with the OriginOS Ocean extension. Tipsters estimate that the Vivo S15 and S15 Pro phones will compete on the Chinese market with models from the Oppo Reno 8 series, which we will also see later this month.
