Google Pixel 6A debuted at the I / O conference

Google has been in the habit of holding an I / O developer conference in May for many years. It is no different this year either. The conference started yesterday and even though Google basically never officially confirmed it, the cheapest phone from the Pixel 6 series was launched . The Google Pixel 6A model is in the world , but it will not be on the market until almost two months later production. And unlike last year's Pixel 5A, which went on sale only in the US and Japan, the manufacturer will sell it in several global markets.

GOOGLE PIXEL 6A PHONE DESIGN AND DISPLAY 

The Google Pixel 6A is quite similar to its older brothers. The main camera module is again mounted horizontally at the top of the rear panel and extends from edge to edge. The frame is made of recyclable aluminum and has slightly curved edges. The display is flat and in the middle of its upper part is a "hole" for the front camera.

As such, the screen is an OLED type with a slightly smaller diagonal of 6.1 inches. The screen resolution is 2400 × 1080 pixels and the refresh rate is "only" 60 Hz. There is HDR support and Gorilla Glass 3 protective glass. The display also has an integrated fingerprint sensor. In addition, the phone also has some durability according to IP67 certification.

OTHER PARAMETERS 

Exactly as expected, Pixel 6A received its own Google Tensor processor with 6 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128 GB of internal UFS 3.1 storage. The Titan M2 security chip is also present. The battery has a capacity of 4400 mAh and support for fast charging with an output of 18 W. The manufacturer adds that the phone lasts up to 72 hours when using the Extreme Battery Saver function, and 24 hours when the function is switched off. The phone also has stereo speakers and two microphones with noise cancellation. Connectivity is represented by 5G SA / NA, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6E 802.11ax (2.4 / 5 GHz), Bluetooth 5.2 LE, GPS, USB-C and NFC. The operating system is Android 12. Google has promised at least 5 years of security updates for Pixel 6A.

PHOTO EQUIPMENT, PRICE AND AVAILABILITY 

Google Pixel 6A has a dual main camera with a primary 12.2 MPix Sony IMX363 sensor with f / 1.7 aperture and OIS support. The second widescreen sensor is the Sony IMX386 with a resolution of 12 MPix, 107 ° range, f / 2.2 aperture and PDAF. The front camera has 8 MPix and is a Sony IMX355 wide-angle lens with an aperture of 84 ° and an f / 2.0 aperture. The cameras offer popular features such as Magic Eraser, Real Tone, Face Unblur and more.

The price of the phone is set at $ 449 and three color variants are on sale, namely Chalk, Charcoal and Sage. Pre-orders start in the US on July 21st, sales start on July 28th. Subsequently, the Google Pixel 6A will go on sale in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan and the United Kingdom.
