As expected , the Japanese Sony introduced new models of their Xperia phones today. In addition to the flagship Xperia 1 IV model, we also saw the midrange Xperia 10 IV, so theoretically everyone should choose. Both novelties are very interesting, although they look surprisingly tempting piece for the middle class. That is, unless you have a private oil well under your house. But we'll get to that.

SONY XPERIA 1 IV 

The flagship Xperia 1 IV really doesn't skimp on equipment and doesn't take hostages on the way to a high-end experience. However, the design is relatively sober with a flat front and back, or rounded corners. The frames are thin, but the "chin" of the phone would deserve a small diet. However, as a phone primarily focused on mobile photography, it also boasts a hardware shutter button. The phone's display is absolutely stunning with a 6.5-inch OLED panel, 21: 9 aspect ratio, 4K resolution, HDR and 120 Hz frequency. In addition, the protected Gorilla Glass Victus.

The main attraction, of course, is the photo equipment of the phone. At first glance, it does not look impressive with the 12 Mpx trio, but the appearance is deceptive. The main 24mm 1 / 1.7 ″ sf / 1.7 sensor complements the 16mm f / 2.2 ultra-wide and finally the 85-125mm f / 2.3-f / 2.8 telephoto lens for zoom needs. In addition, all three have OIS. Sony also equipped the phone with a ton of extra software functions for creative individuals. Whether it's "Videography Pro" for streaming, fine-tuned Dolby Atmos support or 360 Reality Audio. In addition, the Selfie 12 Mpx camera can record up to 4K HDR video.

The Achilles heel of the phone will definitely be the price. The Sony Xperia 1 IV will be sold worldwide from the popular $ 1,599… Moreover, it will not be sold until September, because only pre-sales start today. There will be a choice of black, white and purple versions.

SONY XPERIA 10 IV 

 The midrange novelty design is very reminiscent of the previous generation and the changes will be mainly inside. But at least Sony boasts that it is the lightest 5G phone on the market. It is thus slightly more compact by today's standards, thanks to the 6-inch diagonal of the display. It is an OLED Triluminous panel with FullHD + resolution, 21: 9 aspect ratio and Gorilla Glass Victus. The Snapdragon 695 5G processor with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory takes care of the performance. So a small evolution within limits.

The rear camera is triple with a combination of 12 Mpx + 8 Mpx ultra-wide + 8 Mpx telephoto with 2x zoom. But it also has some modern features of a much more expensive sibling. Especially in the audio field, where it offers LDAC, 360 Audio or 360 Reality Audio Upmix. In addition, it also has a 3.5 mm audio jack, an 8 Mpx selfie camera and, most importantly, a rugged IP68 certification. It is still very rare in the middle class. However, the battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh can only charge 30W and the charger is also missing from the package . It will please at least the modern Android 12 system. 

 The price is also a bit friendlier, but the alleged European 499 euros is still probably unnecessarily high. At least the phone will not have an extreme delay and it should reach the market in June in four color variants.
