At first glance, the new Honor X7 is not very interesting

With the new "X" series models, the Chinese Honor finally headed to the real middle class in March. After all, the Honor 50 and 60 models were upper middle class and fans wanted something cheaper. Well, just the three new series should satisfy their desire for news. Following the recent introduction of the Honor X8 in Saudi Arabia , the Honor X9 and X7 in Malaysia took place today. We have already informed about the first one today , so it remains to look at the tooth of the lowest of the whole series. And honestly not impressive…

Honor X7 is reminiscent of an even more cropped sibling X8, from which it also takes a lot. At least in the equipment, because the design of each of the three models in the series is surprisingly very unique. The lowest bit resembles an Honor 60 (or 50) with a pair of circular rear camera modules on the back. In the phone, however, we also find a relatively outdated teardrop bite of the display for the selfie camera, so it's definitely not modern. But it will not be a disgrace, so design itself is not an acute problem in my opinion.

LARGE DISPLAY WITH LOW RESOLUTION 

But it's worse when you look at the phone screen. At a large 6.74-inch diagonal, HD + resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels is simply not enough for today. And a nice 90 Hz refresh rate won't help. The Snapdragon 680 processor is very decent, but of course it does not offer support for 5G networks. And they weren't too generous even with a portion of memory, because there is only 4 GB of RAM available, but at least 128 GB of that internal and separate microSD slot. And apparently the NFC chip is also missing, but on the other hand we get a 3.5 headphone jack.

The main camera is a set of 48 Mpx + 5 Mpx ultra-wide + 2 Mpx macro + 2 Mpx depth of field. Well and 8 Mpx selfie camera in addition. The battery with a decent 5000 mAh can handle 22.5W charging, which in the context of the rest of the parameters is not bad in the end. But the set price will be crucial for the Honor X7, because otherwise it will not have much chance on the market. However, the company has not yet told us that, as well as the exact launch date for individual markets.
