The first details of the upcoming Redmi K50 with Dimensity 9000

Although the global chip lead is still in full swing, the Xiaomi ecosystem is fully committed to ignoring it. Just before the end of the year, they introduced the new high-end Xiaomi 12 series, which will probably be supplemented in February by the Ultra variant. Well, and then the early introduction of global versions of these phones will certainly eat up a good supply of Snapdragons 8 Gen 1. However, the introduction of the Redmi K50 series is also planned for February, so there will definitely be no shortage of news. However, this series will cover the demand with a much wider range of chipsets.
Although we have only confirmed the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 version of the Redmi K50, there are insider sources talking about several other variants. Probably the most interesting alternative is to become a model with the Mediatek Dimensity 9000. And basically it doesn't even matter what the name of the phone really is. The creators will definitely break everything down carefully, but we really have no idea whether it will be the K50 Pro, K50 Pro + or something completely different. At least the legendary Chinese "leakster" Digital Chat Station sent some of the probable specifications of this model.
According to him, the phone will have a curved AMOLED display from Samsung with 2K resolution and certainly a higher refresh rate. The new cooling system is a matter of course, because the Dimensity 9000 will also really "heat up". Maybe not as much as the new Snapdragons, but it's still a real challenge. There is also talk of a high-end main photo-sensor with 50 Mpx, or up to 120W fast-charging batteries. And of course up to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal memory. The "K" series from Redmi will again easily cannibalize Xiaomi's high-end siblings, as it should arrive at a significantly more favorable price. So let's hope so…
