The planned Snapdragon may have been renamed again
This year's end is very rich in introducing a new generation of high-end mobile processors. A few days ago, we received the Dimensity 9000 from Mediatek and soon we will have the Exynos 2200 from Samsung and especially the new Snapdragon from Qualcomm . And it is with its name that it is a bit "cross"… The creators recently announced a change compared to the originally planned (and expected) name, and it may not be the only change. Fans just love the confusion of concepts just before the release of a brand new piece. But maybe it's just alarm speculation.
The successor to Snapdragon 888 was to logically refer to itself as Snapdragon 898, and most of the public counted on that. Recently, however, the company has indicated to us with great fame that the new silicone miracle will be called Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. This is a relatively fundamental departure from previous conventions in the labeling of their processors and does not follow anything at all. In the same way, this name does not look very pleasing and will be followed up strangely. We haven't even gotten used to it yet and we already have its next change on the plate. According to at least one Chinese "leakster" on the Weibo social network .
He came up with information yesterday that the final form of the names of the new high-end chipset from Qualcomm should be a bit different. He also added the alleged new logo of this chipset to support his claims. So what would you say about Snapdragon 8Gx Gen 1? That it sounds even worse? Probably, but we've already seen worse markings. In any case, this is nothing official and, for example, the creators will surprise us with something completely different on December 1st.
