This year, we saw the return of the Mi MIX design series from Xiaomi with two models. Both the flexible Mi MIX Fold and the top MIX 4 (according to the new markings) are great pieces with revolutionary elements. However, Mi MIX Fold basically did not reach global markets, so its impact was not so great in the end. He certainly did not endanger the dominance of Samsung phones in this category. However, this does not mean that the company would give up the prestigious duel, because few people doubt the existence of the project of the following model. The question remains when the new generation of MIX Fold will be introduced.
Currently, Xiaomi is busy preparing for the December introduction of Xiaomi 12 and the MIUI 13 system. It should theoretically take place as early as December 12, but nothing else can be expected of it. After all, there will be enough flagship models and there is no need to shatter the forces. According to renowned analyst Ross Young, we will definitely see a new generation of MIX Fold next year. However, he does not dare to estimate a more precise date yet. The current Mi MIX Fold saw the light of day at the end of March this year, but it is really not possible to count on fixed annual intervals even for large companies today.
Xiaomi will also want to fix some of the "shortcomings" of the original model. For example, the phone's internal AMOLED display already had insufficient 60 Hz. And even the secondary one wasn't much better at 90 Hz. But that should change, because even the old well-known "leakster" Digital Chat Station talks about the high refresh rates of both displays in the new model. In the same way, we will probably see the integration of a selfie camera directly under the display, ie the continuation of the MIX 4 philosophy.
