Vivo Y15A Launched in the Philippines

Vivo has unveiled a new smartphone in the Philippines called the Vivo Y15A. Interestingly, at the same time, it has released the Vivo Y15s (2021) in Indonesia. The Vivo Y15A offers specifications such as a waterdrop notch display. This mobile phone comes with MediaTek Helio P35 and 5,000mAh. Both phones are made for the lower end part but are better than some extremely low cost options.

The Vivo Y15A is 163.96 x 75.2 x 8.28 mm and weighs 1,789 grams. The device displays a 6.51-inch IPS LCD screen with an HD + resolution of 1,600 x 720 pixels and a 20: 9 aspect ratio. This phone has a waterdrop notch with an 8 MP front camera on the top.

Going backwards, the mobile phone is equipped with a dual camera setup. It has a primary 13 MP camera and a 2 MP depth sensor. There is also an LED flash to help in low light environments. In terms of software, the device has FunTouch OS 11.1 based on Android 11. Currently, there is currently no word on whether one of these two low-end phones will get the Android 12 update with FuntouchOS 12.

Other specifications of the phone include dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, microSD, micro USB slot, side-facing fingerprint scanner and 3.5 mm audio jack.

Interestingly, the Vivo Y15s (2021) play the same specifications and design. However, it is paired with only 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. Also, it comes with a more limited software - Android 11 Go Edition. The device also has a microSD card slot

The Vivo Y51A costs PHP 7,999, while the indirect conversion costs about $ 160. The device comes in Philippine Water Green and Mystic Blue colors. As for the Vivo Y15s (2021), the device is now available in the same color in Indonesia. Price IDR set at 1,899,000.
