Samsung Galaxy A36 on the First Renders

It appears that Samsung is slowly preparing to launch a new phone from its popular Galaxy A product line. Specifically, it is the Samsung Galaxy A36, which recently passed the Geekbench benchmark tests. According to early estimates, the phone will be launched sometime early next year after the manufacturer unveils its Galaxy S25 series flagship phones.

Specifications and Features

Tipsters have already begun to focus on the upcoming phone. Thanks to benchmark tests, we know that the Samsung Galaxy A36 will run on the Android 15 operating system and One UI 7.0 user interface. Under the hood, the phone is expected to feature either a Snapdragon 6 Gen3 or Snapdragon 7s Gen2 chipset, both built on 4nm manufacturing technology, offering solid performance. The device will come with different memory configurations, with one version featuring 6 GB of RAM.

Moreover, the Galaxy A36 is rumored to sport a Super AMOLED display with a high refresh rate, ensuring a smooth and vivid viewing experience. The main camera is expected to offer high resolution with optical image stabilization for better image quality, along with the addition of Samsung Knox for enhanced security. Furthermore, new AI features may be introduced to improve functionality.

Appearance of the Samsung Galaxy A36

The first renders of the Samsung Galaxy A36 have surfaced on GizNext, giving us a glimpse of the upcoming phone's design. The images, created by the well-known designer OnLeaks, reveal that Samsung has decided to change the established design of the rear panel.

The main camera module has undergone a significant change. Instead of the original three separate circles placed vertically, there is now a vertical oval-shaped module with three sensors, and the LED flash is located to the right of the module. The phone features narrow and symmetrical bezels around the display, with a "hole" at the top center for the front camera. The raised Key Island area for the power and volume buttons remains on the edge of the phone.

The phone appears to be slightly narrower and taller than its predecessor, the A35, measuring 78 mm in width and 162.6 mm in height. This is mainly due to the increased screen size of 6.64 inches. The thickness has also been reduced to 7.4 mm, creating a slimmer profile. Hopefully, this design choice will not come at the expense of the phone's battery capacity, which is still unknown at this time.
