Tecno Camon 30S: Specs, Design, Price, and Availability

The Tecno brand continues to expand its lineup with new smartphone models. Following the launch of the Spark 30 and Spark 30C, Tecno has introduced the Camon 30S, the fourth addition to its Camon 30 series, which includes the Camon 30, Camon 30 Pro, and Camon 30S Pro. With an eye-catching design and affordable price, the Tecno Camon 30S is a great option for budget-conscious buyers. However, it's important to note that the phone does not support 5G connectivity. Let’s take a closer look at its specifications.

Design and Display

The Tecno Camon 30S stands out with its appealing design. The phone features curved edges on both the front and back, and the rear panel is highlighted by a prominent circular camera module located in the upper left corner. The front display has narrow bezels and a central punch-hole for the front camera. Notably, the Nebula Violet variant of the phone changes colors from light purple to dark blue when exposed to sunlight.

The device sports a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and a maximum brightness of 1300 nits. The screen supports 2160 Hz PWM dimming and covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut for vibrant visuals. With Gorilla Glass protection, the display can also be used with wet fingers, and the device carries IP53 certification for dust and water resistance.

Performance and Hardware

Under the hood, the Tecno Camon 30S is powered by the MediaTek Helio G100 processor, which provides solid performance for everyday tasks, although it lacks 5G support. The device is available in two RAM configurations: 6GB and 8GB, along with storage options of 128GB and 256GB. It features stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support but does not come with a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Camera Capabilities

Despite the large size of the main camera module, the Tecno Camon 30S features just two rear sensors. The primary camera is a 50 MP sensor with a 1/1.56-inch size and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). The secondary 2 MP sensor is used for depth-of-field effects. For selfies, the front camera has a 13 MP sensor.

Battery and Software

The phone is equipped with a 5000 mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging, providing a reliable battery life for users. The Tecno Camon 30S runs on Android 14, ensuring an up-to-date software experience.

Price and Availability

Currently, the Tecno Camon 30S is only available in the Pakistani market. The phone is offered in three color options: Nebula Violet, Celestial Black, and Dawn Gold. While Tecno has mentioned multiple memory variants, only the top-tier 8GB/256GB model is available for purchase, priced at 59,999 Pakistani Rupees (approximately $215 USD).
