Samsung has introduced a new budget-friendly smartphone to its Galaxy F product line, designed specifically for the Indian market. The Samsung Galaxy F05 joins the lineup with a stylish faux leather back, setting it apart from its siblings in the Galaxy M05 and Galaxy A05 series. This phone offers a balance of style and functionality at an affordable price.
The Galaxy F05 shares a similar design with the Galaxy M05 and Galaxy A05 models, but its standout feature is the faux leather back panel, which gives it a premium look and feel. The phone is available in the attractive Twilight Blue color option.
The 6.7-inch LCD display offers a resolution of 1600 × 720 pixels and a refresh rate of 60Hz, with a pixel density of 262ppi. While it may not boast high-end specs, it provides an ample viewing experience for everyday use.
Powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 chipset, the Galaxy F05 ensures smooth performance for everyday tasks. It is paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 1TB via microSD card.
Connectivity options include dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, USB-C, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The phone houses a 5000mAh battery with 25W fast charging support, although a charger is not included in the box.
The Galaxy F05 is equipped with a dual-camera setup on the back, featuring a 50MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and a 2MP depth sensor for portrait shots. For selfies and video calls, it has an 8MP front camera with an f/2.0 aperture.
The phone runs on Android 14 with Samsung's One UI Core 6.0 skin. Samsung promises two years of major OS updates and four years of security patches, ensuring the phone remains up-to-date.
The Samsung Galaxy F05 is priced at INR 7,999 (approximately $95) and will be available for purchase in India starting from September 20, 2024, through Samsung's official website.
With its stylish design, budget-friendly price, and reliable features, the Galaxy F05 is poised to be a strong contender in the Indian market.
