Huawei is gearing up to launch the latest additions to its Mate series. Set to be unveiled in the fourth quarter of this year, the Huawei Mate 70 series will include the Mate 70, Mate 70 Pro, Mate 70 Pro Plus, and Mate 70 RS Ultimate models. These phones will cater to various market segments with their impressive specifications. Today, we dive into the new features of the Huawei Mate 70 Pro, especially in comparison to its predecessor, the Mate 60 Pro.

Main Differences Between Huawei Mate 70 Pro and Mate 60 Pro

Design Improvements

The Huawei Mate 70 Pro retains the large circular camera module seen in the Mate 60 Pro but introduces subtle design enhancements. The aesthetics are further refined with minor adjustments to the module. Notably, the XMAGE and AI-DC inscriptions indicate enhanced artificial intelligence and digital processing capabilities. Additionally, the LED flash has been repositioned for a more streamlined look.

Hardware Upgrades

While the design tweaks are minor, the hardware improvements are significant. The Mate 70 Pro is powered by the new Kirin 9100 processor, a substantial upgrade from the Kirin 9000S chipset found in the Mate 60 Pro. This new processor promises better performance, increased energy efficiency, and superior AI capabilities.

Camera Enhancements

The camera system in the Huawei Mate 70 Pro also sees considerable upgrades. The front camera now features a 48 MP sensor, up from the 32 MP sensor in the Mate 60 Pro, resulting in sharper and more detailed selfies. The main camera setup remains triple, but with improved sensors: a 60 MP primary sensor, a 48 MP wide-angle lens, and a 48 MP telephoto lens, all enhanced with advanced AI functions and digital processing. These improvements ensure that the Mate 70 Pro stands out in the competitive smartphone market.
